Conservation work

We have been at the forefront of building conservation in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas for many years.

We always strive to use traditional repair methods and the most historically sympathetic products available.  Where appropriate, we utilise modern materials and techniques as befits each project.

Conservation work undertaken:

  • Lime pointing
  • Masonry repairs and renewals
  • Slating
  • Leadwork
  • Rooflights & glazing
  • Sash & case windows
  • Chimney repairs and rebuilds

We continue to work with conservation architects and other specialists on numerous high-profile projects and listed buildings of great significance to Edinburgh and Scotland as a whole.

Our management team specialise on providing a professional approach to smaller private projects where we strive to deliver the same high level of care that we devote to any of our high-profile cases.

We are fortunate to have a consistent and hugely experienced range of employees, many of whom have served the company for over 25 years. Our operatives are qualified, professional and reliable and can be trusted to completing your masonry leadwork, slating and joinery repairs to the highest standards.

Residential Projects

Whilst we complete many projects for larger clients such as Architects, Local Authorities, Universities, etc.

We pride ourselves on the delivery of high-quality projects on behalf of private residents who engage with us to look after and protect their investment.

These projects can be small (routine maintenance) or large (re-roofing, extensions, attic conversions).  We offer the same professional and collaborative approach on all our projects, regardless of size or scale.

For communal repairs we can assist and advise owners in collections of funds into a shared account prior to commencement of works.
We serve a multitude of private clients’ dwelling types including:

  • Town Houses
  • Tenements
  • Flats
