James Breck Ltd has been in operation for over 60 years. A family run business to this day, we work across Scotland on a wide range of property types.
We specialise in the conservation of traditionally built properties in Edinburgh, The Lothians and The Borders.
The company directors and surveyors have a combined experience of over 40 years in the conservation, maintenance and restoration of Edinburgh's built environment.
Much of our experience is related to the traditional, tenemental, educational/public and local authority stock in and around Edinburgh, the Lothians and further.
A large proportion of the properties we repair are listed as being historically significant. The use of traditional materials (i.e. lime mortars, restoration renders, slate, stone, lead and such like) is not only nowadays generally specified but is a key element to the ongoing conservation of our built environment and is something we as a company have adopted wholly and actively promote.
